Born 12 July 1948. Obtained B.Econ(Malaya) and MBA(Leuven). Started work in the government in 1972 including a brief stint as a junior analyst at the Capital Issues Committee(precursor of the Malaysian Securities Commission)and served in various senior positions in the government from 1983 until 2003. My early interest to analyse stock market data helped me in making fairly good predictions of trend reversals of market indices on the KLSE, hence making a bit of money along the way. This encouraged me to apply similar analysis based on multiple regression models on political situations.I have built up a fairly large data base for this purpose.Now, with the launching of this weblog today, I am an active, independent and non partisan political observer and analyst on the internet.
